[Biturbos4] new guy on the list

Hey Dave.
My S4 has been rock solid.... with one big exception:
I blew a turbo. Under warranty, the pair of turbos were replaced (with the
updated versions). This was a known problem with the early 2.7T turbos.
Once replaced with later units, no issues. When my car was in for the turbo
swap, the dealer had 3 OTHER 2.7Ts in for the same issue (2 Allroads, one A6
2.7T, and my S4). No questions asked. The backlog was due to their master
tech out on vacation for 2 weeks. But still.... "wow!"
Other common items are wheel bearings (especially rears on the S4) and all
modern Audis eventually need new front suspension links replaced. I've
replaced all of my wheel bearings in the 65,000 miles I've owned my 2000 S4
(original owner).
Of course, I only use synthetic oil every 2500 miles, and replace other
fluids every 25-30,000 miles (transmission, front/rear differentials, etc.).
If you'd be interested, my 2000 S4 is for sale. =)
65,000 (+/-) miles, full suspension, 2 sets of rims/tires, approx.
325-330HP, santorin blue (dark blue), grey leather, all options (including
navigation).
I *ADORE* my S4, but I'm buying a house and need the money to help put up my
huge garage (w/lift). I really planned on keeping this car forever. Such
is life.
