I had a situation where i was getting some intermittent but recurring
misfire codes. I did run a bottle of Redline S1 ( i don't know that this
is superior to anyone else's selection of cleaner) which really did seem
to help.
i now keep the redline S1 bottles on hand, and put *some* of the bottle in
from time to time. each bottle is supposed to treat about 100 gallons.
FWIW, i'm not a mechanic, but try to do as much as possible on my own.I do
use vag-com on a regular basis to check the car and change the plugs about
every 25K miles with the audi stock selection (NGK).
This may work for your misfire issue, it may not.
