FYI Sean I'm pretty sure youre gauge is reading correctly. You said when
you're not in chipped mode, you're boosting to only about 6 psi. That's
limp mode - the ECU causing the car to boost very low to save itself. You'd
have to have a very bad boost leak to get into limp mode, so that is a
possibility. But your MAF is a very likely cause, so you're probably on the
right track. Good luck. Also, buy a pressure tester from VAST or AWE as
someone else mentioned.
