Alan emailed me privately, saying it really sounded like I had not installed the bulbs 
properly. Curious, I went out there to look at the install, and it just didn't feel right. 
What I had done is left the headlights in the car and removed the bulb and its plug as a 
unit, replaced the bulb in the plug, then installed it back in. What I didn't realize was 
that the bulb has to be "clocked" in the headlamp assembly a certain way (he says, 
foreshadowingly)...

So I removed the headlamp assemblies from the car (shoulda done that in the first place, 
but I was lazy), and found the bulbs were not sitting in there correctly. Removed the 
plug, re-clocked the bulb correctly, plugged it in and re-installed the H/L assy. Can't 
check it right now as it's raining cats and dogs and it's still light outside, but I'm 
betting that my ride home from work tomorrow will be brighter...
