Thanks for your thoughts guys but I'm pleased to report that its behaved itself today so hopefully after that little bit of dramait's back to the normal uber reliability. 


I will pull the codes once I find my cable but other than that I'm inclined to leave well alone

Sounds like the ISV/Throttle body need cleaning. Starting to stick more than likely.

Try and see if there are any stored fault codes in the ECU.
