CV joint: the new one comes with asnap ring (like acirclip but without the ears), does that stop the joint going too far up the shaft or too far down? no bentley and can't see how  puller would work, what would you push against?

Calliper: Yep, got the tool which worked fine on the other side, on this side it rotated maybe 10 degrees and stopped, I put abar on the handle of the tool and pushed & it broke

There may be a circlip, but in general they are driven off. You can also use a puller. Do you have bentley?

You must be talking rears?  They can be quite stiff.  Do you have the proper tool that pushes and turns at the same time? Without that tool, its often hopeless.

It has free movement for the 10 degrees but then goes solid,  I tried applying some force with the rewind tool and it broke the tool. I'm guessing some sort of internal unrepairable derangement but open to suggestions.
