Besides the fact that it's a PITA to have your laptop out by the car looking at stuff with grimy fingers.
I had a conversation with a Bentley writer about that. He was surprised to hear that I preferred a paper copy vs the computer version. He figured you'd just print out the pages you needed.
When I pointed out that I didn't want to have to boot up my computer, search through everything, print something out, go back to the car, realize I didn't have what I needed and repeat, he sort of got it. Then he shrugged and said this was the way they were going now.
