Still rocking my 2001.5 Imola Yellow Avant @ 151,000 miles (just yesterday).  Mine is totally stock except for Recaro seats.  I'm the second owner, bought as a CPO car with 23,000 miles, so most of the usage is mine.  I'm about to replace control arms for the first time.  Otherwise it's been reliable, religiously followed factory service intervals using Audi-trained independent mechanic + DIY.  Just usual wear items and I had to do a clutch at about 100,000 miles where the spring suffered mechanical failure (clutch face still had lots of years left in it).  Looks like I'll need an exhaust soon too as the rust worm is attacking the welds.  The rest of the car is very clean and only a little surface rust shows in a few places on the frame.  A summer project, I think.
We did a number of Quattro Club track events and ice driving schools, with our Audis, especially as my daughter entered driving age.  I took her to the Bondurant School of High Performance driving when she turned 16, then let her drive whichever of our cars she wanted.

After 8 Audis (plus my daughter's '14 A4 + '05 TT, and my sister's '09 Q7 + '11 TT), we've been an Audi family for a long time now.  We don't drive so much these days, so only putting 7k miles per year on the Avant.  I love driving the S4 (stick), and all our previous Audi's have had sticks: '72 Audi 100LS; '80 Audi 5000 diesel!; '92 Ur-S4 sedan; '99 A4 M5 Sport; '01 TT 225 quattro; '01 S4 Avant; '01.5 S4 Avant; '05 TT 225 all with sticks.  Now that Audi's no longer have sticks in the US, I think our Audi days are numbered.  Not sure what we'd buy otherwise, although we did get a '13 VW Golf with a stick.

We've put about 50k miles on the Volkswagen Golf TDI, which has been a pretty nice driver and regularly gets better than 45mpg.  But it's now wearing a bumper sticker that says:

"Polluting Diesel Fraudulently Sold as ENVIRONMENTALLY RESPONSIBLE by Lying Scumbags at Volkswagen".

Ask me how I really feel about TDI's.
Ramble mode = OFF
