I'm still here.
Have a silver 2001 S4 which I've been working on a complete engine rebuild
with TIAL 770 turbos and worked-over 2.8 heads for the last few years, on
and off. This car will be an absolute beast, even on pump gas, when it's
done.
Have a blue 2001.5 stage 3 K04 S4 that I bought after the previous owner
had a timing belt failure and head crash. Damaged the pistons too so motor
has been pulled, fixed, and just about ready to put back in the car this
spring. This will become my DD. Can't wait to have an S4 to drive again!
I also have a stock C5 2.7T A6 that I've been using as my DD for the last
couple winters. It's a bit of a beater and no S4, but still a joy to drive.
Unfortunately its slave clutch cylinder failed *again* (third time in as
many years) so it's down until I get around to fixing it. This car has a
rebuilt transmission and will eventually be used as parts for the S4s.
All of the above around 120-130K miles, and all 6-speed manuals.
