[Es2] 3" Exhaust

In building my 3” exhaust I have looked online to find a high flow 3” cat.
In that size to fit factory location is near impossible to find. So I was
wondering because I plan to delete the front or first muffler if that is a
possible place to locate a normal high flow cat. It has enough room. The
only question would be: will this location allow the cat to do its job
effectively? Any BTDT or insight?
