[Es2] No radiator fan= wtf?

Keep in mind that the temperature sender for the dash gauge is on the
coolant manifold on the head, while the thermoswitch that activates the
radiator cooling fan is on the radiator. If you've got air blocking a
passage and the radiator isn't getting hot, then the fan isn't going to
go on regardless of the dash gauge reading.

The coupe originally had an air bleed screw near the firewall on the
coolant line to the heater core. Unless that line is new, likely the
screw has corroded and won't allow you to bleed the system of air
without damaging the hose and requiring replacement. Since the bleed
screw is there, likely that is the cooling system high point.

Another option is to drive the car to a steep hill, and get the nose up
high. A jack works too. Real high. Then bleed the system with the new
high point (top radiator hose, or lift the overflow bottle up high).

Hi ben

There is one wire that connects to the afterun relay via the engine
compartment to the driver side harness.

http://www.urs4.com/logbook/RS2CQ/wiring/103_0331m.JPG

It's on that black connector. Basically when the after run system
turns on the relay in the engine harness J155. If I remember right.
Sends a signal to the after run relay which triggers the fan. The
interesting this is that on the 7a cars it's triggered via a ground
line. On the 20vT it's triggered via a power feed. I didn't know this
at first and I have a funny feeling I killed the two relays I have for
the afterun system.

Thats not the problem thought. Honest I am not worried about the after
run system. With the car in the garage and idling for a while the fan
should go on at 90 degree celcius. Basically the thermostat opens at 87
degrees and the fan turns on at 90 degrees. Either the thermostat is
not working properly or the fan setup is not working properly however I
tested the fan setup by grounding positions three and 1 and 2 and 1 and
the fan turns on. I also removed the sensor and heated it up and it also
worked.

Either there is still air in my system or my thermostat shit it self on
me. I am going to replace the thermostat when I install the new fan.
Then take it from there.

Off topic.

Are any of you guys familar with how a clutch setup works on a
boxster(mid engine) or 911(rear engine)? Basically I am wondering how it
engages when you push the pedal down.

Thanks
Josh
