Hello All -

Well the tranny came out of the car yesterday, and SURPRISE... The pressure plate was intact, mostly, the throwout bearing was intact, mostly, the CLUTCHNET 6 puck sprung -hub clutch disk was in pieces...literally. The rivets that hold the hub plate to the clutch disk all sheared and the whole mess was scattered around in the bell-housing. Springs, rivets, retainer, etc.etc.

I was using the an CQ flywheel, lightened, and an original pressure plate. Both are really worn quite badly. The thowout bearing was thrashed as well. The clutch disk has metallic pucks of some kind, and they too are very worn. After just 14k miles this is all quite surprising. The Bennett Bros. are shipping me one of their aluminum flywheel rs4 set-ups made to fit this CQ application. I'll let you all know how it fares after a few thousand miles.

Cheers,
Chris
