If the calliper and thus the pad is not parallel with the rotor the  
pads will first touch, one side at the nose of the pad, the opposite  
side at the tail of that pad. Thus, maybe could squeal until warm  
seated. Centering the caliper over the rotor is of less importance  
unless excessive.
