Peter,
At the time, I was running a TSW EVO 16X7.5 ET40 with the 225/50X16s  without 
any clearance problems at all.  This was with ground control  coilovers.

Reason I ask was when I tried a set of 225/50/16 Dunlop SP8000 on  16x 
7 et 35 Borbet Type Ts, they did not clear the tie rod  ends.
