Description:
97,000 miles (no kidding--original engine, odo works, this is really the low miles on this car).
Graphite metallic with black full-leather interior, ABS, 5-speed manual transmission, fully loaded. Will post pictures shortly.
Well maintained, I have all the records on this car, which has been in our family since it was new. Just put 4 new all-weather tires on it in November '03. Timing belt was changed in October '03. New filters, fluids, etc. My mechanic's inspection shows everything checks out, but there is a small slow leak in the power steering fluid.
The car always passes emissions inspections, and did again last fall.
Exterior is in good shape, a few dings, but the paint is still glossy and there is no rust on the car. (It has been in colorado all its life, and garaged/stored many winters--my parents had it in colorado while they spent the winters in california).
Everything works (including the sunroof) except the driver's side seat heater. The radio is the original stock cassette radio, and works but is not perfect (on/off knob is a bit loose, and the FF button is missing)--Speakers all work and the sound is really good.
We had sheepskin seat covers on the front seats forever, so the leather interior is in top top condition--no cracks or wear. I will include these covers for a nominal fee if you want them.
Dash has the usual 5000 cracks.
The car is pre-wired for a circa 1986 car phone (including the "brick" portable unit in the spare tire area). I still have analog service for this, if anyone is interested.
Will also throw in the feet for a Thule rack (but not the rest of the rack), the can of hydraulic brake fluid I just bought, and about a half dozen extra window switches.
The windows are tinted with top quality tint--they have been tinted nearly from the beginning, and the tint shows absolutely no signs of bubbling, purpling, or other defects.
All in all, the car is in top condition for its age (even better than some of the newer models you might find). Hard to believe the MSRP on this car was $38,000 in 1986--I hope the new ones are built to last as long as this one is.
