85 4000S Quattro: A great daily driver as is or solid baseline for turbo project.  Rust free example with well over $2000 spent on the car.  

THE GOOD: Replaced every wear item and rubber bit in the chassis: 4 new Boge Turbo Gas struts including bumpstops and boots, 4 new heavy duty 90 strut mounts, 4 new lower ball joints, new control arm bushings front and rear, new tie rod assemblies on the rear (not just ends, entire tie rods) new tie rod ends on the front (have new assemblies as well) New front outer CV joints, just replaced front right wheel bearing, new motor mounts, tranny mounts, rear differential mounts, and rear subframe bushings. Engine has had new timing belt and water pump in the last ~15,000 mi. Runs great, very strong, no leaks and uses about a quart every 1000-1500 mi.  Odo says 395K but the interior and condition would suggest less. (I have reason to believe it is less, there's a story here if your interested) Interior is in very good condition. No rips or tears. Gauge pod is fastened solidly on dash, carpet is good. What can I say, it's a comfortable car. Oh, new  ext. door handles all around and
sunroof works with no leaking.

EXTRA'S: Euro spec Hella H4 headlights, bumper mounted Hella  500 rally lights wired to a factory fog light switch, roof mounted Futaba powered antenna, Kenwood stereo with new speakers front & rear.  I’ve got a few extra bits and pieces lying around for the car I’ll throw in too.

THE BAD: Could use a new resonator and 2 new tires. Locking diffs don't work, electric mirrors and central locking not working.  Right rear window not working, horn doesn’t work (easy fix), needs an AC compressor.

In short, the car’s (supposed?) mileage doesn’t do it justice, especially given the nice interior and amount of work put into it.  Worth a drive.  I have additional pictures I can email.
