I have an 86 or 87 5000 Turbo Quattro Avant that I'm wanting to sell. I picked it up a couple of months ago to commute to work and to the mountain in. Last week it stalled on the freeway and I wasn't able to restart it. I had it towed home but haven't had the time or inclination to dig deep into it, I did check the timing belt and it was intact, though it seemed looser than it should be. I was on the brakes at the time of the stall so the RPMs were low if there was a timing belt related failure I don't suspect the valves and pistons were introduced to each other in an unpleasant manner.

The collection of cars in front of my house has gotten too big and my wife is at that point where she'll start torching things if they stay around much longer. 

It's got 240,000 miles and is orginally a Maine car, so it's got rust on the hatch and the fenders. It has Zimmerman cross drilled rotors up front that were replaced shortly before I bought it. I replaced the rear rotors and pads about a month ago as well. 

It's pretty rough, but still a 5000 wagon. With a little effort, somebody could make it into the perfect ski car.
