Description:
PICTURES.

I am interested in trading my 1996 Golf GL for an older (pre 1992 ) Audi in good mechanical condition. Send me an email (bmacb at adelphia.net) if you are interested. I have more pics. Details below:

1996 Volkswagen Golf GL 133K
4 Cylinder 2.0 Litre Engine
5 Speed Transmission
Runs Well has some "issues"

Bought as project for my son. He broke the rules, now the car must go.
 Drive it home!

Delivery can be arranged for .30/mile assuming its not too far

The Good:
Reliable Daily Driver (previous owner) for the past 4 years
Runs well. Very Responsive.
Cold A/C
Clarion CD Player
New Clutch at 122K (last year)
New Exhaust (both mufflers) two months ago
Body has very little rust. Paint is in mostly in good shape (some scratchs and clearcoat issues) and can be buffed to high shine
Power door locks work.
Manual Windows work properly
Recent Timing belt and tune up
Interior is clean. No major stains or tears in upholstery

Not as good:
Title is currently clean but carfax show prior rebuilt title issued 4/99 ( will provide copy)
Door moldings (passenger side) are coming off. All Moldings have some paint on them.
Driver's airbag has deployed. Passenger bag is in unknown state
A/c compressor is noisy. According to previous owner new compressor clutch is required. Cheapest approach is to remove a/c
Car pulls slightly to the left. Alignment needed
Outside of seat bottom have collapsed.
Antenna is missing. Rear wiper arm is missing (wiper works)
Right Headlight is cracked. Headlight works fine.
Small 7-8" crack in windshield (perhaps repairable)on far right (passenger side)
Check engine light is on.
Reverse works ok but is somewhat noisy. Service records indicate problem might be bad idler arm. Previous owner
told me he treated it gently and it didn't get any worse over 4 years
