Description:
PICTURES.

I am selling a 1990 Audi 90 Quattro 20v sedan (Type 89). The car has: 120,760 miles, Pearl exterior, Black leather interior, 5 speed manual, power windows, power door locks, ac, sunroof, seat warmers, after market stereo, after market (w/ rubber) and stock rims (w/o rubber).

The car burns a quart every 3000+ miles or so. As far as major repairs go: the previous owner did the timing belt (and water pump) at 110,000ish (I do no have paperwork to prove this but had the mechanic check this out and they agree the belt and pump were done), @ 112,000: C.V. boot, tune-up (changed from green coolant to the red anti rust stuff), the brake pressure accumulator, and both front shock tops; @ 115,000 both front tie rod assemblies; @ 120,000 thermostat and replaced the battery not 100 miles ago.

The car originally came from Organ, then spent some time in Florida (under the same owner), transferred to a different owner in Florida and came to Colorado. I picked the car up after it had been sitting for a few months in March 2004 and have been driving it sense. There is no rust anywhere on the body just your basic chips along the leading edge of the hood and minor scratches here and there around the car; nothing that went through the clear coat though. The passenger front headlight has a crack that runs length wise and although it is sealed from the outside air (there is no condensation on the inside of the glass that I have ever seen) it is cracked. The interior is immaculate. The only issues with the interior are on the driver’s side door panel and scuff marks on the head liner. The driver’s side door panel has a few minor pulls and one small rip. All the damage is along an edge, not in the middle of the material. One of the back lights for a window switch, a back light for
the passenger seat warmer and either the back light for the front or back fog light (can't remember) is out.

The car starts right up and runs great. Colorado emissions. No problems in the tranny or drive train. The differential locks and unlocks without issue (not that I have needed to use it).

The car includes two sets of rims: stock rims without rubber and aftermarket Sport Edition 17" x 7" with Toyo Proxes 205/40ZR17 84W with around 8000 miles on them. They have been rotated twice and the majority of the mileage is from a road trip to San Francisco and back.

I had an after market stereo installed as well. The head unit is and Alpine CD/MP3 unit; front speakers are a 3-way Dyn Audio system (7" woofer, 4" mid and 1" tweet); rear speakers are 5 1/4 Boston Acoustics; and a 10" Sub in the trunk. The fronts are powered buy a Nakimichi 1002 (100 watts x 2) and the rears and sub share a Rockford 200.4 (50 watts to each rear and 100 to the sub). The sub is in a custom box pushed back into the wheel well. The front speakers are mounted in custom door panels and kick panel mounts.

My previous car was a ’94 90 Sport Quattro. A Ford Explorer pulled out in front of me and due to the ice I could not stop and that car was totaled. With the insurance money I purchased this car only to have them canceled on me 4 months later (I have a little speeding problem as well). I am not willing to own a car of this magnitude without full coverage. Additionally, being a collage student, I have found myself in a financial pinch and am going to have to due without a car for the next few years till my cash flow increases and I can get insurance again.

I grew up in an Audi family and have owned them my whole life. I grew up in a '84 4000s followed by an '86 4000 cs Quattro. My first car was an '85 4000s Quattro followed by my '94 90 Sport Quattro and now this '90 90 Quattro 20v. My father has a 2001 S4 and mother a '89 90 Quattro. I love these cars (as you should have guesses by now) and hate to give mine up. I want this car to stay in the Audi community so it gets the care and use it deserves.

The asking price is $5000 due to the excellent condition of the car and the after market stereo and rims; but I will discus other options if you are interested.

Feel free to email me with additional question or for additional pictures (I take requests).

Thanks

~Adam
