Description:
PICTURES.
This is an '85 urquattro, graphite metallic exterior and black leather interior with the original 15x8" Ronal R8 wheels. I've spent thousands of dollars and countless hours sorting this car over the last 3 years. I fully rebuilt and installed a 3B engine from a '91 200 20v, RS2 exhaust manifold, K24 turbo, custom oil cooler and the huge 2Bennett intercooler. I installed the 2Bennett coilovers with externally adjustable Koni shocks, all new busings and tie rods, A4 front and urS4 rear brakes, European headlights, smoked taillights and a custom 3" exhaust. All together the car goes, turns and stops great with only 6-8K miles on it since all of this works has been done.
I also have a set of other modifications specifically for the track. None of these are currently on the car but could be included for the right price. These include a K26/27 hybrid turbo, Stoptech 335mm front brakes, BBS RK 17x8" wheels and Recaro SRD seats with Schroth 4 point harnesses. With that equipment, it runs on track right with the S4s, Evos and STIs.
Without these mods the brakes are the limiting factor on the track but it's prefect for the street, frightening grandmothers and every street racer wants a taste.
There are some details left to take care of on this car. The paint is bad and needs to be redone. The body is solid with galvanized fenders but a few dents need filling. The A/C was removed and I do not have any of those parts. The intercooler is not sufficient on hot days at the track, but it works great on the street. The 20v steering wheel is intact but pretty heavily worn. The driver's seat has a small tear in the leather of the bottom cusion. And the odometer stopped at 156K miles a few years ago. I've rebuilt or replaced all of the wear items, so the miles really aren't an issue. It has a K&N cone air filter on it which adds greatly to the engine sounds, but it's less than ideal for heat intake. Lastly, the stereo was removed in favor of additional gauges. It's wired for an amp and there are speakers in it and actually some extra speaker holes in the back deck, but none of it is hooked up.
I have a bunch of spare parts that can go with the car, if the price is right, including a 200 20v transmission and matching 4kq 4.11 rear end. I've also got an RR airbox and the inner fender liner to make it fit as well as an 80/90 strut tower brace and all of the parts to install it properly. An AM Cars from bumper skin with Euro turn signals and fogs is also available.
I hate to sell this car as I simply love her, but new projects demand attention and money. For a price I'm thinking $15K is very fair. This is without the track mods or spares, but all of that is negotiable. I've got way more than that invested so please don't insult me with a low-ball offer. And none of the spares are available separately, so please don't waste my time by asking. For more details email rlets at hotmail.com or call Rich at 425.889.9148.
