1996 A4 2.8 Quattro 5 speed, 176k miles, red with black cloth.  I bought this car from the second owner for a winter car, but I need a tow vehicle, so it must go.  This is a clean, solid A4 with a lot of miles on it but a lot more to go.  It comes with two sets of wheels, the ones shown in the picture with 225/50/16 Blizzaks, and the stock 16" 5 spoke with 205/55/16's that are at or near the end of their useful life (IMHO anyway).  The brakes front and rear have been done in the last 5k, and I replaced 5 control arms, both outer CV's in the front, and the sway bar links two months ago.  Plugs, wires, and air filter are also new.  Body is straight and strong, with no evidence of prior crash damage; I'm fairly certain there is no paintwork on this car.  The only negative is that the transmission is noisy.  Noisy when I got, noisy after changing to Redline MTL-90, and noisy now.  Noise is consistent with road speed and happens in all gears.  PO reported that the noise has been there
for about 10k, and that no specific event triggered it.  Clutch is good and the car shifts and drives perfectly.  With the quattro and the Blizzaks, it is a true beast in the snow.

I have one lousy picture on AW, but I can provide more for serious buyers.  Really though, there's nothing to see; minor parking lot dings, but the paint is shiny and the interior is good.
