Description:
NO PICTURES.
Hello,
Up for sale is one 1984 audi 4000s quattro. This car has seen better days. I'm considering parting it out... so if people what to pick up the entire suspension, etc, let me know.
Have about 5k worth of parts receipts (i did the labor) over the last 5 years including: 2bennett coil overs, new Boge turbogas struts, all control arm bushings, all wheel bearings, front outer tie rod ends and ball joints, rear tie rod ends (used but good), Clutch master and slave cylinders, timing belt, water pump, and idler pully, front main seal, front cam seal, Brake master cylinder, radiator, fuel pump, fuel filter, brake pads (naturally), ebrake cables (both), brake hoses (all), oil cooler (aftermarket w/A/N fittings and stainless lines), Fuel system (megasquirt msns extra see www.msefi.com) including Megasquirt box, custom fuel rail, Stainless braided lines with a/n fittings, 30 lb/hr injectors, SX adjustable fuel pressure regulator and more.
When cold then engine, which is a KH code from an 84 5kt, makes a tiny bit of what seems to be rod knock, for a very short time. The EFI is not tuned as well is it should be, so cold start is not great- but it always starts. Tranny shifts ok, but is a little bit notchy when cold.
This car is not pretty. When i bought it the front was messed up anyway, and it hasn't gotten any better. It has an 85+ dash in it, as well as the electric rear windows from an 85+-- but the dash is not bolted in and the windows do not all work (they did at one point). Electric mirrs do not work.
It has been rolled, but the side windows are intact. The front window is shattered on one edge, and it has one (non working) doorhandle (gaping holes everywhere else). Oh, and the trunk lock is broken out, so you have to use a tool to get into the trunk.
Anyway, if anyone sees any reasonable value in this thing, let me know. I would be willing to drive it up to 300 miles to deliver (i'd offer more, but don't trust the tires-- i had good tires on it that i swapped over to another car, and the ones now on it have steel showing) for price of gas. But, it would be better if somone in Portland, OR or the vicinity wanted it or pieces
Sorry for the long description, etc.
