Has ONLY seen the hands of an Audi Tech for repairs. I would NEVER EVER take it to anyone not well versed in VW/Audi cars, and I would suggest anyone interested in this car (or any VAG to make sure it has been taken care of carefully)
Has had only synthetic fluid in it since day one, every 5000miles (or less). In fact, I have EVERY SINGLE service record since the car was ordered brand new, including the pre-delivery insepction. Everything. These cars are very picky, so again, this is a must. All this info is in a nice folder to boot.
Recently has had:
rear diff seal(>10K ago)
new belts & pulleys, waterpump, fluids flushed & replaced (2K ago)
New Exhaust flex pipe (1.5K ago)
PCV lines and valve, right wear wheel bearing, BRAND spankin' new powersteering rack and upgraded heavy-duty tie rod ends with new fluid flushed & replaced (about 15miles ago :P).
I recently had the subframe dropped and pulled the oil pan and cleaned all of the crap out of there, and flushed the entire pump, pickup and screen. This car is seriously ready to go.
These are all the common areas that you will encounter w/ these cars... mechanicaly, these cars have few picky problems, but the steering stuff usually has some issues and the rear diff seal and infamous right rear wheel bearing, all of which, you can see I have taken care of)
I just had the 02 sensors, MAF, and plugs and cyl head inspected and they all look good. The turbo appears to be in great shape too.
This car should be good to go until the next timing belt change!
Just has had a wash/wax/sealent
Quattro = great in snow
quattro + Snow tires = WRC Rally drivers look out! (Its amazing!)
Quattro + Dry = Push the handling limits to the max... in fact quattro is almost as awesome in the snow as it is in the dry...
Given its condition (and full service history) and that almost everything (esp. the major things) have been adressed, (esp. timing belt) It is worth a look at, and to maybe make a decent offer.
I am asking $8,995 OBO.
Might trade for a 2002.5+ GTI or Jetta Vr6 or GTI 20th AE (+ cash)
