This is a mirror assembly. It is powered and has heater. Both servo motors and heater work well. The glass part of the mirror has brown  stain from water traped inside. This stain takes about 40% of the area and mirror is still usable with the stain. If you want something immacule - you can buy new glass or film mirror cover from blauparts.com.
the mirror is from 1996 A6 quattro with cold weather package, but should feet 1992-1997 A6 (100 C4). Not sure about A4s
