Description:
NO PICTURES.

If you have kicked around the idea of replacing the Audi/Bose sound system in your 200, this would take care of one part of your effort. My son and I built a Kicker Box for ours, which was unfortunately totaled about 6 months later.

The box is tailored to fit the dimensions of the 200 sedan trunk, and rests on the raised, fuel pump access platform. It can be easily removed for access to the fuel pump if you need, and doesn't impede the access to the spare tirewell either. It is made of 3/4 inch MDF, covered in black felt, with two sides out of clear 1/2 inch plexiglass. There is a 10" Audiobahn subwoofer speaker with a port in the enclosure right next to it. There is a small "star" crack in the plastic cone of the subwoofer, but it doesn't affect the sound in any way.

The plexiglass was installed so that you can see into the enclosure from the rear armrest if you take out the ski boot - which I did. The inside of the enclosure is mirrored and it is lit with a blue neon light that I wired into the neon light system (came on with the headlights).

The amp is mounted on a platform that is fastened to the side of the enclosure. It is a chrome plated Audiobahn 600W amp with blue accent lighting, an led style voltage indicator. I wired it to power both the subwoofer and the 6x9 speakers mounted on the back deck, which we specially modified and then recovered it with grey material so as to look completely original.

The finished system produced killer sound (the THX intro to a DVD movie was AWESOME) and the subwoofer enclosure gave you great bass response. Email me and I will send high resolution pics of the setup.
I will sell the entire setup for $500, not including shipping, which would probably run about $150 - it is pretty heavy. The cost of components alone was over $900.
