Description:
PICTURES.
I very very recently purchased this car sight unseen from a guy in Wisconsin. It's a project, to be sure, but I don't have the garage space required to solve the problems it has.
THE GOOD: The exterior is gorgeous. There is no rust except for the passenger side drain under the trunk and the seam behind the driver's front wheel...none on the fenders or near the windows. Clear title. Mechanically stock. Crank windows. Big, glass sunroof. Trippy zebra interior. Good brakes, including e brake.
THE BAD: The electrics show typical early 83 insanity. Wipers are slow. Hi beams are stuck on and very weak. No hazards (no switch) no turn signals. No gas gage. Stock boost gauge doesn't work, aftermarket does. I don't have a key to the doors, but I do have a working one for the ignition.
The last straw: There's a noise coming from the engine. I don't know if it's knocking or lifter noise or a loose part clanging against the firewall.
The car runs well, is fine under boost, and doesn't really do anything weird. With the engine noise, I realized I just don't have the time and space necessary to make this car into what it deserves to be. It's located in MA right now, but will be in upstate NY soon.
THE DILEMMA:
I transferred the title into my name when I registered the car, so it'll take a month for me to get. It might not be a big deal, if the car is going to sit in your driveway while you work on it, but I don't have a title to give away when I sell the car.
I'd love to keep it and turn it into what I want, but I just cannot afford the time and space to do it. Price is firm, I just want to get my money back.
