I am currently involved in a series of real property transactions that may ultimately provide me with the opportunity to own a piece of truly unique rural property. In order to get to it over the course of the next year, I will need to have access to a small 4 X 4 pickup. Due to budgetary constraints, I cannot justify borrowing money to purchase one, so I may have to convert one of my existing cars or perhaps barter for one.

So here's the prospects: I am looking for a small 4X4 pickup in trade for my Avant. Make not important. Rust would not be an issue. The vehicle would have to have a solid frame and reliable running gear, and be reasonably roadworthy. A king-cab would be a definite plus.

My Avant is very clean, and only has a couple of small bumps. The pearl white paint polishes up respectably, and the interior does not show half the wear of 192K. The only service issues are a couple of minor oil leaks, the odd exhaust gasket, and it needs front struts. Tires are sufficient for the time being, and I am negotiating for some better ones.
