Description:
NO PICTURES.

This is a very rare 1990 Audi V8 with a factory original 5spd manual transmission and of course quattro all wheel drive.

As many of you know, this was the model that put Audi back on the racing map. Do a google search for Audi DTM V8 and you'll see the rich racing history to this model. Essentially two GTI 1.8 4-cylinder engine grafted together to make a 3.6 V8, the V8 Quattro dominated the DTM series in 1990 and 1991, until DTM organizers decided to find a way to disqualify the car, which led Audi to retire from that series, but it started Audi's now legendary motorsport history. They even make mini Diecast models of this car!!!

Not many Audi V8's were imported and only a handful of those that were imported, were manual transmission cars. Perhaps only a dozen were imported in 1990 and I believe less than 80 overall. This has been a Bay Area car all its life, so it has not seen the harsh winters back east.

Color is titanium over platinum. Has the original sports seats in front with BBS mesh wheels. I converted the original UFO brake system over to standard brakes. Replaced the original Audi/Blose stereo system with a Blaupunkt CD. Has a clifford alarm system.

Factory new engine, clutch and throw outbearing have 67,000 miles on them. Timing belt job was done about 8k ago. Running very tight and smoothly. Front struts are Koni. No accidents, but right rear panel was repainted back in the early 1990s due to a parking lot scrape. Paint every where else is original. There are a few nicks here and there, but overall it's in good condition for an 18 year old car. Bumpers could be repainted to bring the car back to very good condition.

Headliner is sagging...leather on front seats is starting to split...don't believe seat heater on driver's side is working...needs new tires.

Climate control system works and blows cold air. Was converted years back to updated style (R134 I believe it's called)

Basically, this is a very solid, dependable and reliable car. With a TLC, it could be brought back to its full glory, when it was every bit as nice as an M5. Let your Audi Enthusiast friends know about this car. This is collectible and a classic.
