This listing is for a AEB-code 1.8T engine for a 5 speed manual transmission Audi A4, years 1997-1999.5. Particulars of note for the AEB include the largest intake ports of any VAG 5 valve 4-cylinder engine and simple, easily chipped engine management; making it an great base for modification. This engine is sold as a complete longblock and was running great when pulled from a parts car. The cold compression numbers for cylinders 1-4 are: 185psi, 180psi, 180psi, 185psi.

This engine has a close history with shop employees. The head was replaced 60,000 miles ago with a brand new one after a timing belt breakage. The entire bottom end was replaced 20,000 miles later with a 60,000 mile used unit; whereafter 40,000 miles were put on the car before being parted (the shell had ~220k on it). So, the head has 60k miles on it, and the bottom end has 100k on it.

This motor is ideal for replacing a blown motor, swapping into a project car, or for using as a parts engine.

This motor will have to be freighted unless local to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Truck freight to a commercial address with a loading dock or forklift runs around $350-$450 depending on location. Residential delivery is typically $75-100 more, our cost as charged by the freight company.
