This is the MAF from my 92 S4 that I removed to install an RS2 unit.  I am not sure if it really made much of a difference but I kept the RS2 one because it was brand new.
So this unit was known to be good and ran great from Idle to Full boost of 28psi.  
The solenoid also worked fine.  This is a nice upgrade for your 3b project because most of those ones are all rusty at this point and this one is nice.
$125 for MAF and $25 for solenoid.
