This is a very, very nice top of the line model that has every available option, not to be confused with the lesser 100S that is front wheel drive only. The pearl white exterior is in excellent condition with only minor rock chips. Leather interior is a dark cream color (called Ecru by Audi) with real rosewood inlay on doors and the dash, and there are no tears or broken seams and only minimal color wear on the driverâs seat. This all wheel drive sedan has a 2.8l V6, 4 speed automatic, power windows, power steering, keyless entry, 6 way power and heated front seats with lumbar support and drivers side memory switch (memory not on the 100s model), power glass moonroof (the 100S has metal sunroof), cruise control, leather steering wheel that tilts and telescopes, power heated mirrors and digital climate control system (not available on the 100S model). Average combined gas mileage for us has been around 19 to 20, and we have been able to get 24 to 25 on a long freeway run.
Other conveniences include lighted vanity mirrors, map lights for all passengers, ski boot, dual front air bags, 2 cup holders and leather wrapped center armrest. It also has the Bose 6-speaker system but the head unit was replaced around Christmas â07 with a very nice high power JVC detachable face CD player with the Ipod interface and built in HD radio and it sounds better than ever. The wheels are brand new, after-market 5-spoke 16â, upgraded from the original 15s, and with Toyo Proxess TP 205/55/R16. All 4 tires are evenly worn and have lots of life left and includes 4 wheel disc brakes with 4 wheel ABS. Has driving lights, nice tinted plexiglass wind deflector for the moonroof and comes with original factory Audi carpet mats for front and back and all the ownerâs manuals. Other small things that are included are remote trunk release in the glove box, foot-well courtesy lights, residual power (you can open and close the windows and sunroof after you turn off the ignition)
and a 12V cig lighter that is always on so you can charge something at any time, another great convenience. We have the title report on hand.
We are the 3rd owner and a Carfax report is available if you need it. We have always garaged it and I was told the previous owners had too. Car has always been in Oregon so no salt issues to worry about. We have printed service records covering the past 11 years and you can see that every bit of maintenance has been done. Whenever anything was needed on this car it was done. Recent work has been to fix the keyless entry system, the heater core, blower motor and thermostat were replaced in Sept of 2007, then the core itself was replaced under warranty just this month as the new one from before was faulty. We also just replaced the water pump which was bad, and in the process changed the timing and serpentine belt, the gasket and the thermostat.
The interior of this car is solid and rattle free, the doors close with the solid âthunkâ of European cars and the dash, seats, and carpet are in superb condition for a car of this age. It has been dependable and reliable and we have taken it on several long trips in great comfort and I would have no hesitation driving it across country today. The steering is tight and dead on center and the suspension is solid.
Every electrical item and every switch works flawlessly on this car. The ONLY items that I would like to point out are extremely minor, and common to Audis of this era. The heated seat switches have the back lighting burned out but the switches and ALL heating elements work perfectly. The drivers memory switch also works perfectly for all 4 settings yet the 1 thru 4 number buttons have burned out lighting. This is my 8th Audi and this is a common issue on these carsâ¦you could replace it if you wish for a few hundred dollars total however I have learned to live with this little Audi idiosyncrasy. The only other small issue is the passenger side front door wood paneling has a small chip on the front leading edge but it is not all that noticeable.
This car does have high highway mileage so I want to be upfront with that. Mileage is 221k, but everyone who has been in it has been astounded at its condition and you will be too. If I were able to wind the odometer back to say 50k I guarantee you would never know it was a high mileage car. If this is maintained properly there is no reason why this couldnât go another 100k without major issues. We are not selling this because of the mileage, just that my wife wanted something with a bit more power so we just replaced it with an A8.
Cash only, no delivery, no crazy low-ball offers. Call Alan at 503-680-8796 if you would genuinely like to see and drive the car. $4300 or best reasonable offer. Thank you
