This double DIN unit came out of my 2000 A4 when I upgraded to heated seats.  This unit fits a 2000 or 2001 A4/S4, works perfectly, temperature stays at the temperature you set it at, all the buttons work, all the lights work, no sticky buttons...and that ambient temperature climate fan is quiet.  There are no gouges on the external surfaces (some of the junk yard units are a mess because these are hard to remove from the dash).  It does have a few very, very minor scratches that you can see if the light hits the unit just right.
