Description:
PICTURES.

This Toshiba Satellite Pro 490XCDT was used briefly and then put in storage for years so it's in excellent condition with almost no wear and tear. It has USB and serial ports, enough RAM to run Win98SE (32MB onboard) as well as an empty slot to add an additional 32, 64 or 128MB module (if you want to run Win2k or XP). I tested out the laptop by installing a slimmed-down version of XP; it detected everything and ran beautifully with the exception of the fact that the OS was consuming 35MB and the laptop only has 32MB (3MB worth of data was constantly being paged from the hard drive which of course dragged things to its knees). I have since low-level formatted the drive so it's ready for a fresh install of the OS of your choice. The specs are: PII 266mhz processor, 32MB system memory as discussed, 4GB hard drive, 13.3" LCD, CD-ROM drive, external (detachable) 3.5" 1.44MB floppy drive. AC adapter is of course also included. I found Toshiba's product specifications on their European
website: http://www.toshiba-europe.com/computers/products/notebooks/satellitepro490cdt/product.shtm

Shipping weight is 11bs; UPS Ground would be a better value than the Postal Service. If you want to calculate UPS shipping cost, I'll be shipping from their Tulsa Customer Center (zip 74146); if you want to calculate USPS, I'll be shipping from a Post Office in zip 74434... but bear in mind that the Post Office will charge an additional "oversized package" fee.
