Description:
PICTURES.
This is an 1983 ur quattro with less then 60k miles on it. We are the third owner. We purchased from a man in chicago that bought it in the early 1990's I believe. He soon ran it with a stuck t-stata and blew the headgasket. He then let it sit for over 10 years. It was stored in his wooden garage that entire time. We bought it and took the engine out, installed a stock engine from a 1991 100 20v in it with 115k on it. We replaced every single gasket on engine except the head gasket, t-belt, waterpump. The conversion was done right, we're a porsche/audi shop that has done swaps 100 times more complicated then this. We added a fuse box and some relays under the rear seat that now run the EFI and the fuel pump. We also have bypassed the rad. fan and a/c compressor from the stock fuse box/relay just because they are prone to problems. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the fuse box, it is 100% good and in tact, we just wanted to prevent a problem before it became one. The exterior
decent with 2 rust spots on each rocker the size of a quarter. Other than that its rust free, it has several dings and dents from the guys exwife taking a tire iron to it but nothing that a paintless dent guy can't fix. The dash/doorpanels/front seats are MINT except the drivers side left bolster needs a little brown dye, The foam is INCREDIBLY FIRM, again MINT other then color fading from rubbing bolster. nicer seats than on my 70k miles 944 turbo. The cars basically stock... G60 calipers. It is owned by the shop but we have purchased a high mileage ur quattro to do a full tilt rs2 conversion track car out of. We just cant bring ourselves to cutting this thing up! We just dont need this with two 944 turbos and another ur quattro track car... This car does need a few things but everything and more will be done if someone is seriously interested. For $20,000 we will have this car in better mechanically shape then it was when it was new, we will fix all this... What it needs, convert
hydraulic brakes to vacuum boost (or fix nitro-bomb and leaky booster). A 1985+ vacuum operated diff lock installed (we have entire 1985 4000s quattro for brake/diff lock parts, just need to be installed). The rear diff lock works great. It also needs a paint job, we can have this done before you come pick the car up if you would like, we can also deliver car as is. Paint job will cost between $1,500-$3,500 just depends on how nice u want it. We have not had it painted because if we do itll be a $3,500 job because it should be done right and for that price it'll look like the factory paint. This posting is basically just to see if this car is worth $20,000+ because if it's not we will put it in storage as-is and pull it out in another 10 years when we have time and when its worth $50,000. For $25,000 It will have every single thing it needs done and it will be painted and ready to drive to South America if u wanted. I'm talking cruise control, a/c, heat. A car like it was off the
showroom floor except with a 20v engine. We'd also be glad if someone is intereseted to upgrade the intercooler/turbo/manifold/computer chip, anything you want. We also have the ability to put ABS and a newer digital dash on it if pockets are VERY DEEP. I would personally change the chip and go full RS2 turbo/injectors with a larger intercooler so you've got 350hp+. this car weighs 2650 lbs, i do believe I ran it across scales, have to find receipt. This car runs and drives great right now. It has a few odds and ends that we have just been too busy to deal with but if someone wants it, we can fix everything wrong with it within a week. You can e-mail me at curtmon03 at yahoo.com, this is not my car, it is owned by my employer but I am dealing with the sell. or call me at 913-484-0215. DO NOT WASTE MY TIME!!! This car is one in a million with this swap and mileage. One look at the interior and u will know the mileage is correct. I will have new pics up soon.
