PICTURES.
1987 Audi 5000 CS $1400, 237k(and climbing, this thing runs so strong right now) miles, Zermatt silver metallic, black interior, Body 6/10, Interior 6/10,
This car is an absolute blast to drive, the suspension is very responsive as it is new. This car has the true rally heritage and with the mild mods I've made you can really take advantage of the performance audi built into these cars from the factory. With the Intended Acceleration chip and uprated wastegate spring this car makes an honest solid 225hp, and it feels good. I've embarrased many a wrx. And when it's really, really snowy, lock in the diffs and play snowmachine.
Mods Aftermarket intercooler with bov, Intended Acceleration chipped ecu, 034 1.9 spring, 3" exhaust(throaty and deep), Front rotors drilled/slotted, Rear rotors drilled, H&R lowering springs, Autogage 25psi boost gauge, A/C deleted, Kenwood cd player with Ipod connection
Maintenance I've done
Front KYB struts, Brake pads front and rear. Timing belt, Waterpump, Radiator, Distributor cap, Distributor, Distributor rotor, plug wires, sparkplugs, Front control arms, Front tie rod assemblies, Power Steering Rack, RF brake caliper, Waffle intake boot, Injector seals, Crankcase breather hose, Fuel filter, Rear control arms, and inner bushings. RF, LF, RR Wheel bearings.
I have spent over $3000 in parts (not including labor) on this car in the last 3 years. And it was money well spent. This car mechanically should run for another 150k miles. All the wear items have been replaced.
Issues RF, LR windows do not work. Sunroof slow, Drivers seat bottom stitches out, E-brake, shift knob, turn switch, passenger door pull chewed by dog. E-brake cables cut. Bad wheel bearing LR, RR cv boot torn. Buy this car so I can get an avant.
Currently riding on 16" steelies that complete the Eurotrash look that this 80's uber sedan has. Rubber is Hankook K106 225/50R16 that have seen one track day and many late nights on curvy roads.
