Description:
PICTURES.
I bought this car on a whim last year, it was failing smog and way behind on its maintenance but I wanted to experience for myself what it was like to drive a Audi 5 cylinder turbo. Instead of running the car into the ground I spend $4500 towards bringing it back to top shape. Its been fun but now money is short and I can't afford two cars.
Replaced recently:
Front strut tops
O2, Water temp and Cam position sensor
N75 Boost control solenoid
Timing belt
Water pump
Accessory belt
Accessory belt tensioner
Brake pads front and rear
Rear brake rotors (fronts had some life left in them, but I have new OEM spares that will go with the car)
Fuel Pump
Fuel Filter
Air Filter
Spark Plugs & Conductors
Drivers side window regulator
Unfortunately it still has a few issues I haven't had time to address yet. It is reasonably easy to work on and I will be including a VAG-COM scanning tool and factory service manual on CD with the car. I would very much rather sell the car to an enthusiast that knows how to turn wrenches, that way I know it will continue to be cared for.
Still needing attention:
Needs new front tires soon
Recently started overheating slowly when not moving (I think its the fan clutch)
Leaks a little engine oil and power steering fluid (from the rack seals).
Misc minor electrical problems (Cruise control, and defroster don't work)
The drivers seat is a little rough, but you don't see it or feel it when you are driving.
The paint could use some buffing and polishing. (more visible in person than pictures)
Thats it. You can keep watching youtube videos like this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEK7POxpVeE) imagining how it would feel to have control of a legendary Audi 5 Cylinder turbo, or you can be like me and find out for yourself. I would prefer to get $4500
Happy hunting.
