Description:
NO PICTURES.
I've got an 1987 5000 CSQ. It'd make a great donor for a 4000 turbo swap or to fix up and drive. I've had it sitting for about a year since I've been driving another car.
Unknown miles - est. around 200K
Pearl White Metallic
Tan alcantara/leather interior
5-speed manual trans
Quattro AWD with locking diffs
Pros:
Engine runs very strong, makes good boost, compression tested within spec before parked
Transmission/diffs in great shape
Body in very good shape, no rust, paint still very good except for a scrape on the right side
Full timing belt service done ~5K miles ago (belts, cam/crank seals, water pump, full flush with Audi coolant)
Brand new lifters (all 10) and valve cover gasket
New brake pads/rotors all around
New TPS
Comes with quite the collection of spares
Yokohama tires w/plenty of tread left
Drives great - will quite literally cruise at 125 mph for hours
Clean title in hand, tons of service records back to the 80s
Cons:
Needs power steering rack replaced or rebuilt - currently has no power steering/brakes
Door locks not working - needs some NLA rods replaced inside the door.
Driver's side seat needs re-covering
Exhaust leak at manifold, appears to need gaskets
Underside of dash taken apart, ignition switch replaced, never got around to reinstalling, but I've got all the parts.
Some trim missing on the front after TB service, the clips are very fragile and VERY overpriced from Audi
Basically, this car was a driver/project for me for a while, I've had it for two years, and a year ago ran into a wiring issue (will be fixed before car is sold) and just parked the car. I came to the realization that I'd rather drive my E30, so I never got around to fixing it. It definitely needs work, but can be driven. At this point, it'd likely be best as a parts car, but it's a shame to see it get parted since it's fundamentally a pretty strong car. But, I'm not going to use it either way, so that's all up to its next owner.
I'm asking $1200 OBO. I'm also open to trades/partial trades for a bike (running or close-to-running), any station wagon/SUV/truck, a smaller Audi (4KQ/80/90/Coupe), you name it.
Email or call 540-746-8427 for questions or to see the car.
