Description:
PICTURES.

198x Audi 4000 turbo quattro. Red exterior, gray leather interior. Asking $2000.

Many in the Pacific Northwest are familiar with this car. I did this conversion in the â90s when 4k turbos were rare. You can view the conversion write-up I did for audifans here http://www.audi-quattro.org/tech/4ktq_pat_martin.html. I did this conversion the right way, maintaining as much of the original wiring harness and stock systems such as the afterrun cooling.

The car has served me very well as mainly a track mule. I have taken the last 12 years to refine the car into a VERY enjoyable ride. It is fast enough in a straight line but in the corners the car has few equals. Here is a brief list of the work in the car:

· Coil over Koni struts with spherical bearing top mounts

· Delrin bushings in all control arms

· 3â mandrel bent exhaust with kitty delete

· 944 intercooler

· Intake air sensors before/after intercooler

· K24 water-cooled turboâvery drivable around town

· Harnesses for driver and front-seat passenger

·

This car would make a terrific street car. It rides reasonably well without being crazy hard. The interior of the car is in decent shape with grey leather throughout. It has a pretty decent stereo system with bass tubes and amps.

Structurally, the car is straight. The exterior however needs a bit of cosmetic work. The red paint was already showing its age but there has been recent damage to the drivers side of the car. Both drivers side doors and the front fender have sheet metal damage. The doors open and close fine. I am including 4 clean black doors with the car. They have been painted with no side molding so you donât have to worry about replacing it.

Mechanically, the MC1 motor is blown. Therefore I am selling it for the very low price of $2000 as is. If someone in the Seattle area were to present me with an MC1 motor and wanted it installed I would do it for $750. So for $2750 you can have an MC1 converted car with a kick ass suspension. You would just need to spend a little labor to get the new doors on it, prep the car for paint, take it to Maaco or better yet do it yourself, and you would have a very nice MC1 converted car for roughly $4k.

Send me emails if interested. Offers considered that make it go away faster and easiest get preferential treatment. mardkins at msn.com
