This is an exceptionally clean and very low mile audi 5000s for sale.  Like retro, early eighties german cars?  Wish you could get one in 2010 that's like it just left the showroom?  Then check this out.  This Audi has just under 75K original miles.  I'm the third owner.  The owner before me was a collector and put under 100 miles on it.  The original owner was a lady in Colorado.  I have the car fax from when I bought it and it's clean.  The paint, bodywork and interior are in excellent condition.  I got it to use as a daily driver and have been doing so but with six other cars I haven't ended up using this one much so I thought it should go to some one who will.  This car makes a great daily driver for many reasons-

Great gas mileage.  The five cylinder motor is bulletproof and at 70mph on the freeway the rpms are at 2900!  I have taken this on a few trips and got just over 30mpg.  Also the tank is almost 20 gallons so fill ups are few and far between.  

Comfort.  This Audi is very comfortable.  The interior is in pristine condition and very stylish- it's a herringbone pattern velour with really nice german plush carpet.  There is only one wear spot by the gas pedal- I'm assuming its from the high heel of the original owner.  This car has power windows, power sunroof with tilt, power locks, each door has its own ashtray, lighter and map light (i don't smoke but still thought this was really cool).  Check out some of the old ads for this model on ebay.  They speak of how this car was really ahead of its time for driver comfort which leads to driver safety.  The heating and air conditioner work great.  AC is still ice cold!  Also the entire width of the dash is vents and they are all intact without one broken piece.  Very cool vent wing windows.  Also original Blaupunkt radio/cassette with original working power antenna.  The car is a 5 speed manual but the hydraulic clutch is very soft and easy to operate and the shifter is smooth.

Maintenance-  When I first got the car it looked like some one had just replaced all the tune up items with quality Bosch parts but there was still a little to be done.  I replaced a leaky valve cover gasket and a couple senders, checked out the brakes and replaced the rear cylinders, put on some new Piaa wiper blades, and got a new set of all season Pirellis.  Every single thing works great on this car with the exception of the power mirrors.  There is also a small ding towards the top of the driver fender but small enough that if you really wanted, a mobile ding repair service could fix it.  The last flaw is the windshield has two cracks at the bottom of it by the wipers.  I've left it for now because it doesn't obstruct the view but it should eventually be replaced.  The car passed smog no problem when I got it and the tags are good until Dec 2010.  Asking $1800 because I just want it gone to make some room.  Open to offers.  I paid over 3k for it before even getting the new
tires.
