Description:
NO PICTURES.

Well, I think the time has come for me to better focus my efforts on one car at a time. I'm really happy with where the 90 is at right now. It's never felt smoother, or more eager on track. It's been solid and hasn't needed any real work in over a year. Driven to and from the track, occasionally swapping daily driver duties, rock solid.

However, I'm just not driving the poor girl enough. I recently picked up an '06 A3 3.2q and the 90 has essentially sat dormant since . I also have some plans for the A3, a wedding coming up, and life things going on, so with a heavy heart I think it might be time to sign off on the 90. It's been 'my car' longer than any other car I've owned (about 4 times over). She's been with me through 6(!) different engine configurations, a myriad of different goals and dreams for 'er and come out grinning on the other side. Not a single regret in there either.

You can see over 6 years of the journey here:

First off was to make it all 'look right'. I wanted a very OE looking fit and finish to it all, and I wanted it all to work. It does, down to the stock charcoal canister, it's all there, where it should be, and working.

1998 ABZ 4.2l V8 (~135k on it I believe).

034 ABZ Engine Mounts, modified, as I had previously relocated the chassis side mounts when i first did the 3.6l swap.

OE S4/S8 4.2 6-speed manual oil pan, bolts up perfectly to the 01E, no trimmed fins or lacking bolt provisions as with the auto pans.

A8 ECU and complete Engine harness

Fresh timing belt and water pump done, less than 1000 miles on them.

034 Stage 1 ABZ Chip

034 Manual tranny ECU conversion (absolutely no auto tranny, or A8 tumors anywhere on the
harness)

034 Immobilizer Defeat, with quick disconnect to enable immobilizer

Both POS's are brand new, less than 200 miles on both.

034 Relay board

OBD-II Connector installed in the proper place at the drivers knee panel

12v V6 Airbox, modified

New ABZ MAF

Stock Exhaust manifolds (have all parts to build a full header set, haven't gotten to it yet)

2.5" Downpipes

3" 034 High flow race catalytic converter

Full 3" 304ss piped exhaust, with 2 mufflers

Huge all aluminum dual 1" core radiator, with fans front and rear.

12x10" oil cooler, with thermostatic plate

Remote mount Oil filter, on frame rail, easy access.

034 ABZ Flywheel insert

034 Motorsport motor mounts

Transmission and driveline

01E, 5-spd shifts great, no problems at all with it.

Spec Stage 2 Clutch kit, probably less than 1000 miles on it.

High-bias torsen rear

It's got no rust anywhere on the car, no small feat for it's last home in Maine but she's got everything you'd expect with a 20+ year old car. rock chips and dings, some scratches, small dents, etc. Nothing huge, a good '10 footer' if you will. When I bought the car I got it with a damaged hood and left front fender (I can only imagine the last owner tried to drive under a truck or something, bumper was completely intact). So I sourced parts from other T-red 90's over the years, the drivers side fender's paint is a bit more faded
than the rest of the car. Though I'll be working on it a bit more before I do sell it to see if I can bring it back some more. There's some 'residual' damage on the inner fender structure still, nothing structural, and it's tucked behind stuff so you can't really see it, thus I've never bothered to fix it. The hood once had hoodpins, doesn't anymore. The holes are all covered, and from a distance you can't even tell they were there, as you can see here. The side molding was getting ratty, as they all do. it's been replaced with some vinyl for now until the car gets resprayed. Front door cards used to have Phonocar speaker pockets in them, until they were removed by some lowlife, haven't been able to track any replacements down yet, was going to build some new speaker pods. The ABZ exhaust manifolds tick under load, this is why I have all the parts to build a pair of headers for the car. Just haven't had the time for it, I can include all that with the car if you like. Or other ABZ
manifolds can simply be installed. Odometer doesn't work, hasn't in years, and wasn't from this car originally anyway. Not that it really matters, literally 99% of the driveline is brand new, or repaired/replaced in the last 5 years. There's almost no moving part on the car that hasn't been serviced or upgraded very recently.

That's most of what I can think of at the moment. I don't know what to ask for the car, there's so much work, and new parts on it, I know I'd never be able to make it all back. I just want to see someone getting some more use out of it than I am able to right now. So make me an offer, and feel free to ask me any questions you like.
