I have for sale a 1986 4000 Quattro. 2.2 Liter Inline 5 cylinder with the super-duty 016 code 5 speed gearbox. It is a great example of one of the last original Type85 Audis with a manually lockable center and rear differential. I bought this car In San Diego last summer, drove it all the way up the Pacific Coast to San Fransisco, and all the way back home. I hate to have to let it go. I looked for a rust free example for a long time, but need the money for upkeep on my family car. There is absolutely no rot anywhere on this car. I have removed the rocker covers to check, and the underside of this car looks brand new. The body Is very straight. The tornado red paint still shines up very well. I have done a blackout on the badges and it is fitted with black 15" BBS RS copies. The Car has been in California it's whole life and never seen a winter. I have a lot of service documentation going back several years. The car has had a recent timing belt, water pump, idler pulley, tensioner,
crank seal, brand new radiator installed with new thermostat and coolant hoses. New fuel pump and injector seals. New brake master cylinder, pads, and several new lines. New clutch master cylinder. The car also comes with brand new (uninstalled))Febi-Bilstein tie rod assemblies (both sides), new lemforder ball joints, all new control arm bushings, new brembo brake rotors, new upper strut mounts, new strut mount bearings, Boge front strut cartridges a clutch slave cylinder, another radiator with less than 1000 miles on it, a new set of vogtland front springs, and a brand new distributor. There are a few areas in the Interior that need attention, but overall, this car is the best chance anyone in the mid-west will likely have to finding a good clean example for a long time. There are also factory Ronal wheels that will be included, along with many boxes of spares (including a working digital dash cluster from a coupe gt), and a Bentley Factory Manual
