Selling my DD to get something a bit more modern since I already have a '91 200 20v! Don't be afraid to shoot me an offer.
Completed this past weekend:
-New front tie rod ends installed
-HP2 front brakes installed
-New rear main seal installed
-Low mileage refurb'd steering rack installed
-New tranny fluid (so nice!)
-New 034 street density motor mounts
-Replaced dry rotted oil breather hose on top of the motor
Recent work:
-142k miles with a full timing belt/water pump service at 127k
-New distributor caps/rotors, plug wires, and plugs at 127k
-Stainless steel brake lines all around
-Stebro stainless steel cat-back exhaust
-H&R Race (blue) springs and Bilstein sport shocks
-Ecode headlights
-17x7.5 et25 allroad wheels
-ABT chipped ecu
-Alpine 12-disc CD changer
-New serp belt and hydraulic damper
-A/C system is functional (but does not blow cold), needs to be R-134A converted.
-Headliner and sunroof panel are in-tact and not sagging
-Have the original window sticker and some receipts from previous work completed.
Interior is complete and in excellent condition, but the driver's seat is rough. The stock gray steering wheel was swapped out by the previous owner since the condition of it was shabby. The radio antenna is broken so reception is very limited. The body is straight but has a fair amount of dings and blemishes with a few spots of surface rust by the rear trim and on the edge of the rear fenders and front passenger side fender. The underside of the car is very clean, almost no surface rust and so is the engine bay. The previous owner had it for 7 years and is a good friend of mine and I know it has been taken care of. It does have the original wheels if you'd like them included, but they are useless since the HP2 front brakes are installed. It will need rear brakes soon - that's discs, calipers, and ebrake cables. The brakes are functional, but the ebrake will stick if used. I have a new set of rear pads for the car but would save them for new discs.
It starts every time and runs strong. It currently throws a code for intake air temperature sensor. This is causing the car to run a little down on power until warmed up. The motor is nice and quiet and the exhaust sounds incredible - can take a video if you wish. Lastly, the cluster though reading correctly and lighting up as it should, is finicky. It has the V8 cluster issue of the chip on the daughter board working intermittently.
This V8 has been a great dd, but it's time for someone else to enjoy it. I'm sure there's more to know, so please ask questions. Thanks!
