I am considering producing fiberglass and carbon fiber hoods using inner mold and an outer molds for the factory race car hoods that I have acquired. The hoods produced use a honey comb core (in the supports/skeleton), are 2 halves like the factory steel hood, use all the factory mounting points and skeleton structure, weigh 5-10lbs, and are strong enough to stand on!
I want one for myself, yet a roll of carbon mat is over $2000, so I will need to share the cost and therefore am posting this feeler. If we were able to get a fiberglass made for $750 and carbon for $1000, would you be interested?
