Description:
PICTURES.

I am selling a 1983 AMAZON blue AUDI QUATTRO.
I purchased this URQ from Gary P in early 2004, the car had about 62K miles. Gary had bought the car in 1994 from Prestige Lexus in New Jersey.( car had 54k miles) It seems before that the car had a couple owners. Gary has kept a very good record of all maintenance and upgrades. He purchased the car to do the "Quattro club" driving schools and from the record he did about 9 events before getting into a Porsche.
Here is a list of the upgrades:
Water cooled turbo from Audi S4, Aluminium intercooler, APR head studs, Intended Acceleration chip to bring car to Euro specs, G60 calipers with slotted rotors, Pagid pads, Stainless steel brake lines, Urethane bushings thru out, rear sway bar kit, Koni adjustable shocks, H&R springs, ABT taxi cab pod with extra gauges, Scorpion Stainless steel exhaust, Tilton brake proportioning valve, Red line synthetic fluid in gear box and rear differential, blacked out taillight...
Besides the upgrades many parts were replaced over the years such as brake accumulator ( bomb), alternator, hoses, belts, fluids flushed every 2 years, brake master, clutch mater and slave cylinders, steering rack last summer, timing belt service done last summer ( not due to mileage but age), fuse box replaced and starter wired to push button, back up fan switch, AC delete ( should have most part if you are interested) , motor mounts. After the trip from NH, there was a little tick in the driveshaft, it was the U Joint that started to go bad. It was replaced as well as the driveshaft center bearing since the driveshaft was off the car. To reduce heat soak on the bearing, you will notice on the photos the exhaust is wrapped under the driveshaft. I have 2 full binders with all receipts and service records, The car runs very strong. You will notice in some of the pictures taken last summer by a friend that the car has the 16 spokes wheels, I traced a set of Fuch wheels that are
  period
correct, very light and very expensive, these are the wheels on the car now. If you rather have the Ronals 16 spokes, I know where to source a set.
Also included with the sale are a set of original color taillights, some used sunvisors I found online, boost hose, the glove box manual in new condition, 2 copies of the magazine where the car was featured a few years ago ( very nice spread), all receipts...
The car has no rust, in the flicker files, you will see some pictures I took of the trunk last fall before treating the trunk and battery trays with POR 15. Just a prevision since that is where rust seem to like its attack on the cars. The radio works, but it seems the rear speakers are not connected, anyway I never listen to it.
THE GOOD: All of the above and it is a cool old rare Audi that has been maintained with love over the years. Even starts when it is hot!
THE BAD: it is an old Audi! One of the reason I do not drive it too much besides the fact that I have a few other Audis with 10V & 20V turbo motors is the suspension is very stiff. That could be easily remedied by taking the Konis out and setting them on full soft instead of full stiff, but all the bushings are Urethane and they squeek on the crappy Michigan road, It was a pleasure to drive thru canada to NH and out east where the roads where much nicer, but with all the bumps and patches here, after a while the squeeking gets on my nerves.
