I just pulled this from my early 1990 CQ. Car has 103,986 original miles and was well maintained, save for a leaking hydraulic system hose. I purchased the car 2 years ago from a friend and it has sat in my shop since, run maybe 4-5 times over the past 24 months. The car originally belonged to my friends aunt whos husband owned the local Audi dealership somewhere in Louisiana. She sold the car to her brother, the father of my friend. My friend inherited the Coupe when his dad passed away a few years ago. One or both of the knock sensors started acting up shortly after my friend began driving the car, then one of the injectors went bad, making the car nearly undriveable. The Audi dealer here (the car was serviced exclusively at Audi dealerships its entire life) quoted an insane amount of money to fix the issues, of course. Shortly after that, the car became mine, though I paid dearly for it!

Anyway, I know the motor is worth money parted out, but sometimes people are looking for a complete motor. So, I will offer the motor for sale (or trade/trade+cash for specific items, see below) for a period of two weeks. If I have no firm sale or trades by February 10, I will dismantle and sell individual pieces then. But for now, this motor is for sale whole, as it sits.

2.3L 7A - 103,986 miles, with "bundle of snakes" exhaust manifold and metal distributor gear...

The photos show the throttle body missing but it *is* included - it was removed to compare to an AFC 12v tb...

Included: Assembled block and head, intake and exhaust manifolds, distributor, valve cover and oil pan, t-stat cover, motor mount brackets, clutch and flywheel, injectors, fuel pressure regulator, fuel rail, timing cover, exhaust heat shield, various sensors attached to block and head...
