This brace will prevent or even, in some instances, correct cracks in the firewall due to repeated flexing from the clutch pedal levering force. The cracking WILL happen at some point without a brace.

This brace is bare steel. You will probably want to paint or powdercoat it to keep it from rusting. Also, there is a place that should be welded (see picture). If you dont know how to well weld most muffler shops will throw a quick weld on it for no charge.
