Description:
NO PICTURES.
2.7T with auto trans. with beige exterior and black/platinum interior. Premium pkg plus Xenon headlamps. Nokkian Hakkas mounted (new this season), with an extra set of tires for summer.
Original owner reluctantly moving on to new Audi after 175k miles (mostly highway). Regularly maintained by local German auto specialists (incl. timing chain and air bags replaced).
Drivetrain is in great shape, with no sign of age in how it idles, pulls and cruises. The interior also is in great shape - leather is perfect, EVERYTHING works except front 12v DC outlet and the rear cargo cover (still retracts but one end does not catch). Moonroof, stereo (CD changer), dash lamps, switches, etc. all work and show minimal wear (if any).
Now the bad news - in rapid succession last month, the passenger side was sideswept by a snowplow AND separately I slid into a curb and hit the front passenger side wheel hard. The snowploy put a crease down the passenger side, touching both fenders and both doors; fortunately, both doors still operate (open & close, windows power up & down) and the passenger side mirror was untouched. The curb hit damage will require replacing the right front steering knuckle, steering rack, fender liner, and wheel. The car is drivable, but I would not recommend driving it as-is for any distance or at speed.
It kills me, but given the age and mileage of the car, I cannot justify the expense to pay a quality shop to do the suspension and body repairs and I cannot do the work myself. I do have insurance appraisals that detail the body and suspension work required if someone wanted to fix the car.
So, I wanted to see if any Q-listers might be interested. If you can do the work yourself, it could well be worthwhile. I would even rather see it go directly to a Q-lister for parts than just head to a parts dealer. I am not in a position to part it out myself, but if you are interested in removing pieces yourself before I sell the rest, we can discuss.
One way or the other, I need to dispose of the car in the next week, so please contact me ASAP if interested. Please email me if you want pics. Thanks for reading.
