 	Background on the chassis/conversion:
The car was purchased from a friend in 2005 and the research and planning for the S2 conversion began around that time. The car was driven off and on until around 2007, when it was taken off the road. At this time, a 1991 200 TQ was purchased to serve as a donor for the engine, ecu, and wiring harnesses. The CQ was stripped down to a nearly bare shell and the original parts that were kept (subframes, strut uprights, etc.) were refurbished to like new condition. All of the suspension components were replaced with new OEM or upgraded parts. The 20VT engine was disassembled, checked for bearing wear and clearances, refreshed head with lapped valves and all new seals/gaskets for the entire long block. S2 specific components were added at this time. The wiring harness was modified to replicate the LHD S2 3B harness and installed into the CQ.

The conversion has been well documented in the build thread on Motorgeek.

Performance:
The car was tested on a Mustang chassis dyno last year and put down 301 ft-lb and 226 hp AT THE WHEELS. This equates to roughly 290 hp at the crank. At the track, the car is an absolute blast to drive, especially with 301 ft-lb of torque at the wheels to pull you out of the corners. The suspension is sporty, but not overly stiff and is a good compromise for an all-around daily driver and occasional track car.

Condition:
The car is in very good condition for being over 20 years old. There is virtually no rust to speak of and it runs and drives flawlessly. I would not have it any other way. The chassis has 145K, but the car only has about 3K miles since the rebuild, so it really does drive like a new car. You will be hard pressed to find a better driving example-guaranteed. The pearl paint had a partial re-spray at one point prior to my ownership, and was done pretty well. That said, I have re-sprayed some areas during the conversion (strut mounts, bumpers, etc.) that donât perfectly match the 20 year old paint. There are the typical dings and things one would expect on a car of this age. I prefer not to fully repaint as the condition is quite good and allows me to daily drive and park normally; things I would not want to do if it had a new paint job. This car was built as a driver and is to be drivenâfirst priority was always given to the mechanical soundness of the engine and running gear. T
 he
interior is in excellent shape with no rips or tears in any of the leather. The car passes standard safety/emissions testing yearly here in Utah.

Price:
The car is being offered at $13,900, which is well below what is into it in parts alone (including car/donor cost/value). It is not cheap or easy to build an S2 replica, and really should not be compared to other turbo conversion in small chassis cars for that reason. Mostly OEM parts were used, which means that maintenance can be performed by most any competent mechanic knowledgable with these cars. No BS custom fab/hack work to try and figure out and replicate as it was converted with a fully functioning OBD1 diagnostics system. And as far as importing an S2, you will not do it for cheaper than the asking price, and even then, you are not looking at a ground-up restoration car with 3K miles. This car is clean and well built. Reasonable offers considered. No low ballers, please.

Availablity:
The car is currently available for viewing/pick-up in Salt Lake City, UT. Delivery can be arranged at the buyersâ expense.
