Description:
NO PICTURES.

For Sale 2001 Audi S8. Baujahr 06/2001. Sold new in 06/2002.

149k miles.

Silver exterior. Black sport seat interior.
Has Rear and side rear sunshades.
In addition to the standard 6 airbags, also has rear side airbags.

One of about 1000 D2 S8s in North America.

Original Avus wheels in remarkably good shape with some small scrapes. Round and true.
Wearing Blizzaks that have at least a season left.

Purchased in November 2008 at 55k miles from the second owner. I have records for most of the life of the car.

LATCH connectors installed as soon as I got the car.

Recent work.
May 2010: 80k miles. Alignment.
July 2010: 85k miles. Bank 1 Oxygen Sensor replaced.
Summer 2010. Replaced mass air flow sensor.
Dec 2010: 94k miles, Upper and lower control arms and bushings. Right front axle replaced. Front pads and rotors replaced
Mar 2011 100k miles. Output shaft seal. New transmission fluid.
May 2011. 105k miles. Rear O2 sensors. Rear Brake Pads. AC recharge.
Dec 2011. 118k miles. 120k service. Left rear door latch assembly replaced.
March 2012. 125k miles. Front wheel bearings. Front brake rotors. Front brake pads. Right front caliper. Rear calipers. Flush brake system. Power steering hoses.
Nov 2012. 139k. Timing belt - water pump. Replaced radiator.
Jan 2013. 145k miles. Front tie rods. Alignment.
March 2013. 148k miles. Alternator. Thermostat. Small coolant hoses near thermostat. Lube wiper linkages. Check alignment.
Parts and labor - over $12k at indy shop -- never taken to a dealer during my ownership.

Doing the math you will see I have put about 1800 miles per month on this car. I have a 35 mile commute to work each way; about half is highway.

Car is straight and cosmetically good. Mechanically it is perfect. The only flaws I can think of are that the drivers seat lumbar does not work (the motor runs but it is apparently not engaged). Seat heaters all work. All interior lights and switches work. The passenger side ext mirror still turns down when I engage reverse.

The paint at the front end has chips (Ohio uses a lot of salt in the winters, and the car came from New York). The two front mudflaps are missing. The rears are in place. No dents in the car. No rust.
I would drive this car forever but I am desiring modern technology like bluetooth and navigation and USB interface, etc.
I have kept this car longer than any other car in 30 years of driving (nearly 4.5 years and nearly 95k miles).
I seriously thought of calling on Tozo to install a 6-gang to refresh the car in my mind.
Transmission has been great- no issues.
But.... its time.

It is really interesting trying to gauge a good price to ask. The different pricing sites (KBB, NADA, Edmunds) give widely (wildly?) varying prices:
All at good condition, private party sale:
KBB: 6358
Edmunds: 8273
NADA: 10250 (clean retail)-- does not give private party sale price for some reason.

So - asking $7500. Constructive criticism on the pricing is welcome.

Car is in a suburb of Cleveland Ohio (ok closer to Akron for locals).

Previous Audis owned. 1999.5 A4 2.8Q 5MT. 2000 A6 Avant. 2006 A4 S-Line Avant 3.2 6MT. 1991 V8Q 4.2 6-gang.

Sold the V8Q here fall of 09.

Vielen dank.
