1998 Audi A4 convertible Roadster one of a kind Cruiser. Last year of the B4. Not much different than a B3 Coupe Quattro. Completely Customized and stanced. New plates, DEQ. So much has been done to this car. No other one like it anywhere! It Finished and ready to go!
Perfect Low Mile 1998 A4 B4 Convertible. right now has 58k miles. V6 2.8L. Just took it to Seattle and back last week. Runs like new. Everything has been done to this car was done right. This is a B4 Chassis. Brock Wheels where imported from Germany and are 10" x 17" all the way around! Tires have only a couple thousand miles on them. 245 rear/235 front. All 4 fenders were professionally rolled out to allow for these. Retaining plastic wheel well protectors.. The convertibles all came Automatic Transmissions in the US and the B4 convertible body style was used till 1998 when Audi went to the B5, 3 years after changing to the B5 on all other base models. 1999 was the first year of the B5 convertible. A lot of the S2 B3/B4 RS2/S2 B4 parts bolt on this car. A complete B5 tall gear manual transmission swap with all stock interior and mechanical parts was done with a 034 Short Shift kit installed makes shifting like butter. This changes the entire drive of this car and gives a top end of
over 150mph. The Automatics sucked and made these slugs and worthless. Now the car has some real power with the manual 5 speed! Plus I get 30mpg on the hwy! Shifts like a brand new car, clutch is perfect. Also used the Manual heater controls instead of the auto climate control crap which keeps the A/C on when in use. This has the button for A/C and it works perfect. Anyone who knows these years usually isnt fond of the auto climate control system and its problems.. All interior parts swapped, Recaro sport seats imported from Germany, driver seat recovered. interior is perfect condition, soft and like new. Manual lever for front to back and manual spin handle for tilt with power button for height. Everything on this car works as it should except cruise control(typical Audi problem). Power windows, power top, mirrors, locks, factory alarm, remote key-less entry. new mirrors, new Euro RS2 projector headlights with levelers. Front and Rear fog-lights. Completely badge-less. Complete and
impossible to find OEM S2 Gauges, cluster, etc. Works perfectly. Miles are set exactly to what the car had when swapped to keep the miles accurate. New shift boot, knob. S4 Steering Wheel. New suspension, Complete Cat back Magna-flow exhaust that sounds perfect. Dual Chrome tip as well. Euro RS2 front and rear bumpers. Blacked out S grill. Complete Paint done with a lot of the work done almost 3 years ago. Car has under 5k miles since then. Alpine Stereo with Alpine speakers thru out including door tweeters. I-pod hookup, usb, and auxiliary. Won 1st place at Pacific Waterland in Convertible Class and 2nd place in B4/B5 Class! Euro Plate on front is the prize given from that show. Car needs nothing but a new home with a garage!! Car has no problems, no dents, no issues, starts right up no matter how long it sits. Top is perfect. The back vinyl window is cloudy so that is the only thing i can think of that you can replace sometime to see better out of it.
I also think that putting a 20VT would be something I was going to do someday and also maybe coilovers. Just food for thought. If someone was ambitious, take the quattro from a b4 90 quattro or B3 coupe quattro and make it a quattro 20VT S2 Cabriolet!
KBB is 8K, but with what has been done I think my price is right.
